Welcome to CYBERNOVA. You are the last line of defense for this space station's data network. Your goal is to protect the station from cyber threats and secure the cryptographic blockchain ledger.

🕹️ How to Play

• Defend the Network: Read the incoming transmission on the left panel. Select the correct security protocol to neutralize the threat.
• Build the Chain: Every correct answer generates a "Data Packet" that is automatically hashed and added to the Blockchain Ledger on the right.
• Test the Integrity: Once your chain is built, use the buttons at the bottom of the ledger to verify the chain or simulate a cyber attack.

🛡️ How it relates to Cybersecurity

The scenarios on the left represent real-world threats:

• Phishing: Attackers use urgency (like "verify now!") to trick you into giving up passwords.
• Credentials: Reusing passwords means one breach unlocks everything. Unique passwords + Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) stop this.
• Malware: Unexpected files are hostile until proven safe. Always verify the sender and scan files.
• Network & Data: Public Wi-Fi is easily intercepted. Always use encrypted connections (VPNs) and keep offline backups to survive ransomware.

⛓️ How it relates to Blockchain

A blockchain is like a digital ledger that is almost impossible to secretly alter. Here is how the game shows it:

• Hashing (SHA-256): When you answer correctly, the game converts that data into a unique string of letters and numbers (a "hash"). If even one character of the data changes, the hash completely changes.
• Chaining: Each new block stores the hash of the block before it. This links them together in a chain.
• The Attack Simulation: If you click "Simulate Attack", the game secretly alters the data in Block #0 without updating its hash. When you click "Verify Chain", the system recalculates the hashes. It detects the tampering because the math no longer matches!

What you learn: You learn to spot social engineering tactics instantly, and you see firsthand why cryptographic hashing is the foundation of trust in Web3 and modern data security.
